Port technology
In port technology, the resilience and resistance of materials are of crucial importance. With robust and durable components such as wheels, rollers and impact buffers, P+S helps to reliably meet the high requirements of modern port facilities.
General information about the topic
In port technology, extreme loads, high travel speeds under load and compact designs place particular demands on the materials used. The hot cast elastomers from P+S, in particular Diepothan®, Diepocell® and Vulkocell®, have been developed specifically for these challenges. Thanks to their high wear resistance and excellent damping properties, they are ideal for use in port and crane systems.
Diepocell® crane stop buffers offer effective damping combined with high volume compressibility — a decisive advantage in tight installation situations. Diepocell® products are resistant to hydrolysis and are therefore ideally suited for use in humid or tropical climates, which ensures their reliability and durability even under extreme environments.
Heavy-duty Diepothan® wheels and rollers are ideal for cable trolleys and gantry cranes, where they offer reliable performance at high speeds and constant changes of direction. P+S products, such as Diepothan® and Vulkollan® rollers for cable tractors or fenders as a mooring aid for ships, contribute to smooth functioning and safety in port environments.
Small Vulkocell® end stops for chain hoists and large Diepocell® stop buffers with integrated steel plate are examples of the tailor-made solutions that P+S offers for the demanding requirements of global crane construction and lifting technology.
